Dear Friends,

We at StellarCon would like to take this time to thank you for your patience and support. Now that this semester is back in full swing and our staff is back together in force, we will continue to do our best to bring you the best experience possible in the world of fandom. We would also like to announce that we have concluded negotiations with the Best Western of High Point and have signed the contracts.

As most of you know, we at StellarCon like to keep things new and exciting each year by choosing a theme for the event. This year’s theme for StellarCon is steampunk; “A Clockwork Carnivale.” For those of you unfamiliar with steampunk:

“Steampunk is a sub-genre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely used—usually the 19th century, and often Victorian era England—but with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an earlier date.” ccWikipedia.org

We look forward to bringing you more and exciting news. Keep checking the website and forums for updates. We hopeto see you all again this year as well as all the new faces that will be gracing our event this year and in years to come.

Thank you,
John Davis
